
Alexandra Morgan Carrasco, an American professional soccer player, plays as a striker in the San Diego Wave FC (NWSL), which is the highest level of women's soccer in United States. She also co-captained the United States women's soccer team between 2018 and 2020 with Megan Rapinoe and Carli Lloyd. [8][99 Morgan was picked as number one in the Western New York Flash's 2011 WPS Draft shortly after she was able to graduate early from University of California, Berkeley. Morgan played for the California Golden Bears. She made her professional debut at the club and was instrumental in helping the team win its league championship. Morgan was 22, at the time was the youngest player in the national squad at the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup, where the team was runner-up. In the 123rd minutes of the semifinal match against Canada during the 2012 London Olympics she scored the match-winning goals. She was second in the United States to have 20 assists and 28 goals in 2012. This made her the youngest and sixth most prolific player in the country to score 20 goals in one year. She was awarded the U.S. Soccer Female Player of the Year, and was a FIFA World Player of the The Year finalist. Morgan was also instrumental in helping the United States winning their titles during the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cups and the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup. She was named on both the Dream Team and won the Silver Boot in 2019.
